Default whats going on with my new head light bulbs??

    hi all
    fitted some of these:-
OSRAM H7 NIGHTBREAKER PLUS HEADLIGHT BULBS *BRAND NEW*
now they dont seem right to me, 1 seems brighter than the other and the left one seems like it points higher, have i not seated the bulb right in the left?
heres some pics, what do you think, are the new bulbs faulty even?

p.s also need a number plate bulb if anyone knows the type please?
    thanks

Looks like you have not secured the nearside bulb against the two locating pins
It therefore isn't in the centre of reflector resulting in the aim pattern you are seeing

Yes, I did this the first time when replacing the offside bulb (in the dark)
Switched it on, walked back and clearly it hadn't been located properly
It took me nearly an hour to get the offending side to engage, so that I could complete my journey (as I won't drive unless both headlight bulbs are fully working)

The following day I loosened the clip slightly, and never had any problem since (as the offside one is not as easy to access)

i just went out as it was bugging me, the drivers side wasnt clipped in enough, so job was a goodin, closed the bonet got in the car and the passenger bulb that was bright went out, still had old bulb so put that in, both level now.
when you say clip there is no physical clips is there? they just push in and clip into place?
