Just sent them off with one of my pupils who does an Engineering course at Inverness Tech on a Friday. We'll see how they come back! If they come back mangled, I'll know he's getting his own back for the last detention!

They're the outers on the rear upper control arm. Hope to get rid of the negative camber so the car stops devouring rear tyres faster than my wife eats chocolate!

The boy didn't take them to college - he filed them by hand - must have taken him all night! What a star, and a really tidy job. My wife suggested I give him a bottle of whisky - I think I'd lose my job but I definitely think I owe him something- any ideas?

Have to admit, I'm confused as to how they work - to get camber adjustment via the outer bush on the UCA, it's usually done by the hole in the bush not being in the centre of the bush, so when you rotate the bush the position of the hole changes.

Take my hat off to him, not many of his age would have done that. Maybe he aint so bad after all. It is amazing what they will do if they are interested in something.

That's right. The D bolt locates in the offset D shaped hole in red polyurethane bush. The bush rotates in the bush sleeve when you turn the bolt, effectively shortening or lengthening the UCA. Here are some pics. Fitted Powerflex at the inner end while I was at it.
