    Default Vx stealers!!

Just been to vauxhall to get gaskets to aid in the fitting of a new underflor cat pipe for the Gsi and guess what, they dont stock them and will take at least 48hrs to arrive
Not sure what to do as im fitting it tommorrow. Hope the old gaskets will be ok to re-use with a bit of exhaust paste
What ever happened to exhausts coming with fittings ready for the job

I would wait for the gaskets because I have found the old ones plus exhaust paste do not always give a good seal and it means you have to do it all over again

I have bought two gaskets from a local factors that looked similar but are too big.
I could try them but would they sell them to me?

Its so annoying when you take time off work to sort things and there are not parts available off the shelf.
When my father had his garage I can remember factors coming with exhausts along with gaskets/bolts etc to fit.
Suppose I should have thought of it before but the exhaust only arrived today.

Not a good idea to put exhaust paste on gaskets as when it gets hot it crumbles and the bits rattle in the exhaust.

    New gaskets required.
