    Default Fuel filter pliers

    Can you please show me a link to the fuel filter pliers to buy for the 1.9 cdti filters?

    Im not interested in other ways of removing it.!!

    I've bought the above, they work fine..

    or are you looking for the tool to remove the ring around the top of the fuel filter housing to open it?

    If you mean removing the top from the filter housing you have a few choices..

    the 'proper' tool as seen here:


    Or oil filter pliers like this:


    I have both and like the 'proper' tool as it allows you to torque to the correct setting..

    BUT if you mean pliers to remove the fuel lines - as others have listed above as I just use two small flat blade screwdrivers.

    much cheaper then the rest use the red pair is what i use all the time
    and the cap pair of water pump pliers or if your feeling strong can do it by hand

    I use a fuel sender toop to remove the lid: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FUEL-SENDE...item2a15a8a046

    But the link by Matt will do the job for a diy mechanic but they do bend after sustained useage.

    It's the tool for the fuel filter pipes i want and plenty of choice above links thanks lads.

    I have a nice pair of Blue Point water pump pliers to remove the filter and a vice to get it off.

    Don't want to break the filter flow/return pipe clips!!

    i have had my set for years and am a mechanic so use them a fair bit
    but i always try and press them in with my fingers to start with
    if i can get them all off saves a walk to my tool box lol
