Cheers buddy no probs anybody else as this would hopefully benefit everyone as a longterm but cheaper alternative to buying a brand new 'revised' one which seem to be failing at the moment thanks

I may have one, but i split it in half to take a look at it (still got the bolts to put it back together)

The valves are screwed well and truly though.

Harvey Smith swapped his manifold over, then modified the old one by removing the butterflies & plugging all the holes & alloy welding it all back up to seal it & then refit it... there's a thread on here.
The fault with the old & new manifold is simply the build up of crud caused by the egr design as with any diesel derived motor... adding a catch tank can slow the process but ultimately blanking / removal of egr will cure the fault full stop.

The easiest way to get the flaps out is to chop the top swirls off with a chisel, Then use the chisel to hit the inside flaps & bend then inwards so they collapse 'v' shape then they will come out, the bottom actuator motor arm is tricky & maybe better left in as any hammering will break the surrounding cast, as you can tell i had a play with my old one & i think i binned it but not sure, To be honest after changing a few (& doing the how 2) id just replace it.

I am sorry but I do not have a spare inlet manifold at present. The new one was modified and put on the current engine. The old one was then refurbished and modified. This is going on another engine which I am well on with build. The new engine, with some interesting mods, conventional single mass flywheel and uprated clutch will all then be fitted, all at the same time.
At that point I will have a fully working proven engine for sale complete with all ancilliaries plus transmission parts.

The local dealers may well have some in the bin. They get returned if it is warrenty work but otherwise they just go in the bin. Got a couple of actuators that way and an EGR valve which works fine when cleaned.
