If the plug's there just fit one, they're only a few quid to buy. Even if the plugs not there it only earths pin 14 (I think it's that pin but double check before you do this) under the UEC out so a wire run from there to the sensor and from the other side of the sensor to earth does the same job

No, just the sensor and the grommet for it, drill a hole in your current bottle.

When I upgraded to my GID screen I found out the washer bottle didnt have the sensor either. When I fitted one I then discovered the wiring plug head (already there taped up by the light loom) was bady caroded...

I ended up cutting the head off and joining the wires then sealing the full thing back up... In effect telling the car the cuircuit was complete which has stopped the fluid sensor ever comming back on!

Make sure and take the bottle out to do this. It can be done in place (I did this) but it was a complete ****** to do!

There is a space for the sensor to be fitted at the back of the bottle across from where the pump is located... You will see it it you take the bottle out or get right under the car to look at it...

Make sure and not do the same as me and forget you need to drain the bottle first... lol... I got a bit of a supprise...!

Why do you need a electronic gizmo to tell you to put some water in?

It's one of your weekly checks oil water and screen wash & brake fluid.

It's not rocket science it's just a Vectra.
