    Wink Twin USB in the front..

    Most of the time its a row between me and the wife who's phone needs charging more! lol.. so i set about changing this

    Not really a how to as such.. but how i managed to do it

    Firstly i got hold of
    one of these used it in the 12v port.. wasn't happy as it stuck up too far looked hideous when other things plugged in it

    So.. back to Ebay i went and got
    one of these

    I will admit it looks a real cowboy job.. but im sure others will take more care
    Put the USB into the 12v socket and wrapped insulating tape round to secure them together. Cut the back out the pocket and mounted it on using dabs of superglue





    Then wired it onto the front power point that is already there.. this is now unused as i have used the plug to add this

    Few more pics of how it sits now when all back in the dash.. ideal for charging anything using USB.

    Fair point.. but preferred to 'hard wire' kinda thing

    i do like the blue led on it, brightens up a dark bit of the dash!
