    Default Quick fast headrest question

    Going to get a headrest for rear centre can I take the clips off the car and put them on mine

    Thanks for the offer mate but I've got a headrest now just waiting for them to get back to me about the clips as ya can't walk round there yard anymore grrrr

    How do ya remove the headrest clips don't think the breakers know how to also I can't find the how 2 to fit the centre rear headrest

    You need to strip the back seat and stick your hand up inside the back and release the plastic clip at the bottom holding it into the metal tube in the seat.

    Alternatively, a good hard yank usually gets them out but don't blame me if that breaks the clip

    Think there's some pics somewhere from when I did my seat swap out I'll see if I can find them.

    Edit: These ones show the clips and tubes I'm talking about quite nicely, these are obviously front seats but the principal's identical on the rear, you can see the clip on the side of the plastic insert that locks into the small square hole on the metal tube visible in the pic...

    Thanks mate how do ya strip back the seat if I tell them that they will prob say nope not doing it as that's the seat trashed lol

    It's actually pretty easy to get your hand inside, the plastic clips round the rear edges just pop out all the way round. Stripping the seat completely is harder but that should be enough to get your hand in and release the clips for the head rests.

    Thanks mate so there is clips holding the seat cover on to peel back to get hand in
