    Had the Alignment checked today.
Rang up yesterday morning and was told it was a free test. OK
Told him I need the rear camber adjusting as rear tyres worn and would also want front end check and adjusting. Got told it would be £65 if ANY adjustment required.
    Had all done today--BILL £126.97
    Charged for
    1-Computer align Front and Rear x 1 -- £62.99
    2-Castor/Camber Adjust Service x 2 -- £63.98

WTF why 2xCamber adjustment as front not adjustable, told this is for rear camber each side.

    Never Again.

Wouldn't touch those monkeys with a barge pole.. There's more than enough tales about them on any vehicle forum you care to visit.
And expensive lesson learned I suppose.

Well ripped off as they don't even do proper 4 wheel alignment. Using the hunter system most you should have paid is £70. Using there system it should have been about £30. I would also have a look at the rear camber bolts and see if any adjustment has been made.......

I paid £60 I think it was for my 4 wheel laser alignment when I lowered the car, that was with adjusting the lots as everything was out

so you were told it would be £65 for any adjusting which is what theyve charged plus theyve charged you for the alignment which was supposedly free, correct me if im wrong but why are you questioning the £65 adjustment fee which is the only bit they told you about and you agreed? id be asking why theyd charged you £60 + for the free service?

Just lowered mine and am gonna get mine done as well but I don't think ATS and I are on the same hymn-sheet. I live in the south of Scotland where decent tyre company's are an endangered species. Can anybody in Edinburgh/Newcastle area point me toward a decent company??

Could be a misunderstanding by this branch, trying to bump up their sales or at worst preying on the naive

As above, normally a check is free, and if adjustment is required then a single charge is made (no matter now many wheels need adjusting)
Why they have charged for both types is beyond me

As I have advised before, I would make a payment under protest if they won't budge on the price they quoted for the service
Next step is to contact ATS Head Office, in writing with a copy of the receipt

As mentioned many times, full four wheel alignment normally always carrys a charge (even if no adjustment is required), and this is always a one-off charge and fully explained before work starts
If that was not the case, then many people where would have been charged well into £200 territory, but as we know that is not the case...
