Default 10k boost and egr clean ???

i bet this will . Once again im sat here bored so thought id come for a mooch, Ive been thinking recently about cleaning my egr valve. now here where you'll all prob tell me im mad (so please do if im wasting my time) ive got a 2008 1.9 cdti 150 just on 30k miles, car runs fine most the time, judders from time to time and at times feels a little sluggish but nothing major. when ive read older post where guys have done this and was amazed on the amount of muck that came out the exhaust, so im thinking is it better to do something like this at 30k miles rather than leave it till 80+k miles? you can all tell me im mad if this is a stupid idea. just thinking on the basis that keeping ontop of the build up is better than waiting till ive got problems. just to add the car is only used for short journeys most the time, what are your thoughts?

Worth just checking your swirl bar first Rob and see if you got any fault codes (ie EGR). Pitty you aint closer, as i would do it for you. Do what i said yesterday, about breather and EGR and you wont get any more sludge problems.
Should get you new fog sorounds soon Al

Hey Alan . It was our chat that got me thinking about it, defo going to look into the breather as you said yesterday, but was also thought this may have been a good idea also. It ish reminded me of a guy I've done some work for (fixed his boiler) he says he does this with his car (never said what car it was but I know it was a diesel) every. Purple of years to keep to muck build up down. My thinking was blast some 10k boost in there and do the breather mod. Was gonna bell u but didnt like mivering ha. Thanks again for the fogs.
