    Default EGR removal and clean

    What a difference in low end power after i cleaned out egr, will order semi blanking plate from fiat next time ive got a couple of days off together.

    Easy to make one - I used an old piece of 22mm copper pipe flattened out and used the original gasket as a template with three 6mm holes in the middle. Coppers good to use as its soft and forms a good seal. Here's a picture

    looks good mate, but im sure on the 150 its the other gasket thats needed.

    Thought it was the same on both - I know the 150 has the large 'square' flange at one end but the other end is the oval shape and thats where the blank plate goes.

    I am sure different people have done different things on the 150 wrt which hole to restrict. Some say it is best to restrict the EGR inlet (pipe from exhaust), some say it is best to restrict the EGR outlet (the side that bolts onto the inlet manifold). For me, I just disconnect the EGR electrical connection. My EGR is new and therefore is almost a perfect seal, so no gas into manifold. Will connect it up near to and including MOT time. It does throw the eml light on but no worries for me.
