Is the indicators connect to the fault light on the dash to say you have a bulb out, reason I ask I've just had one go and the bulb out light hasn't come on

Ive had an indicator bulb go, no bulb out warning light just the faster flashing when indicating as mentioned above
Warns me on mine. When I had the headlights out to fit my HIDs, I put one headlight back in and the bulb check system told me that umpteen bulbs were out. i.e. front fogs - left and right (because I also had the bumper off), front side light, dipped beam, high beam, and indicator.
Both the light in the speedo housing came on, as well as the stereo display giving graphic representation of each and every bulb.
Same thing when I changed a rear side/brake light bulb. Tried with the multiplug disconnected from the bulb holder assembly. Told me each and every bulb wasn't working in the light cluster.
I keep getting the 'check right reversing light bulb' - keep checking it and its fine
So can you use LEDS for the indicators ?
Vectra-C and LEDs are a bad combination where exterior lights are concerned.
