Default Stone chips and black cars

Do black cars suffer more from bumper and bonnet stone chips than other colours? Might seem an odd question and the reason i ask is that i have just got an Astra for her indoors and it does seem to have alot of chips for a 55 plate 52k car, (mileage is gen and verified) comparing it to my Veccy, which is a 55 plate 114k, oh it's silver btw, surprise surprise! Just wondered how chips affect owners of black cars on here.

TBH Barney I never really noticed any serious ones on mine. Got a black one as in my avatar, 55 plate with 73k on it. Maybe its been thrashed or poorly cared for.

I do a lot of motorway driving and I get lots of chips to the front bumper and grills.

If I just drove around town I bet there would have as much or even less.

    Hope this helps

Ty for the reply bishbang. They aren't really serious chips as such, looks more like it's been peppered with gravel imo. The rest of the car is mint.

Tbh mine has quite a few chips on the splitter and bumper, need to get it resprayed at some point. I think chips stand out more on the black cars tho, which is a shame! They look so good when polished up!

As above, depends on the vehicle use

About 70% of my motoring is NSL or Motorway, and so the front of my cars is well peppered

My previous Vectra B was Titanium Silver and stonechip damage was not obvious
However my current Vectra B in Dark Blue has already had the front bumper and bonnet resprayed three years ago, and already has three severe stonechips (they are more obvious on the bonnet)

TBH stone chip damage is always going to be more noticeable on dark cars too.
