Default So, just how basic is the Life model

Saw a Vec C Life yesterday, same year as mine (08) thought they only did them pre facelift. Anyways it got me thinking, given that my Exclusiv is pretty basic inside, not even a basic trip computer, a feature many lesser cars of that age have, made me wonder just what my car has that the Life doesn't, can't be much I'm sure.

There is only small differences between Life and Exclusiv models.
Biggest difference is normal steel wheels as opposed to your structure wheels.
Different bits of trim, interior lights, door handles, etc.

The base models are usually similar up to SXi/Design
Everything else is just trim colours and materials, then the difference between high spec (Elite) and sports (SXi/SRi/GSi)
    Life -> Exclusive
    Compare these :
    Alloy wheels?
    Cruise Control?
Drivers seat tilt and lumbar adjustment
    Rear passenger heating duct

There is not Rear Passenger heating duct on Exclusiv, Or i havent noticed it on mine.
Only thing i have noticed different on my Exclusiv to my old club, is a lack of traction control, and the rear central armrest is different. And the exclusiv has different alloys. But spec lists i find state exclusiv should have steelies

I doubt there is a proper standard spec list across the Vec range, with maybe the Elite and the VXR the exceptions. Most seem to be very different depending on the MY. Ive seen many Exclusiv's with 7 twin spoke Alloy wheels and some higher spec'd models didn't come with the rear heating duct either. Lots of cost cutting appeared to carry on towards the end of the Vec's life.

DasArab is right, standard equipment and Option Packs changed often.
When I had an MY2006 06 plate Facelift 120CDTi Exclusiv, I upgraded to a CDC40 as a factory fit option at a cost of about £450. No alloy wheels.
Metalic paint was a free upgrade as it was a fleet car.
But by MY2008 the Exclusive option pack for CDC40 includes 17" alloys and front fog lights.

The steel wheels and plastic trims fooled a couple of tyre fitters who asked for the locking nut remover.
I would then show off by tellling them they didnt need the locking nut remover and then pulling the wheel trim off.
