    Default Some people eh!?

I was dropping off my sister in law and her boyfriend off to stay round a friends this morning and in a pretty crappy mood because I cleared the car out to fit their bags in because she said she'd walk but had loads to carry. When I picked them up they had a rucksack each so I wasn't too pleased that they'd got me out of bed.

On the way (5 minute drive), I approached a T-Junction and the car in front, a little Corsa B started spraying petrol everywhere, full bore from the fuel filter. I flashed my lights and beeped to get the drivers attention, jumped out and told him to kill the engine because he had a major fuel leak. Instead he got out and moved away from the car leaving me to stop it.
I told him to give me a hand to shift his car and he hopped back in and was about to start it up again until I took the keys off him and rebriefed him.
I asked him to give it a push and he looked at me like I had two heads, so I moved it off the road.

Maybe I should have let him empty his tank on the road and laughed in his face.

I told him that it was most likely the fuel filter and he asked me to fix it! I told him there was a garage just down the road (150 metres away) and they could sort it. Instead he just locked his car and started walking off, so I collared him and said he should ring the council to clear up the spilt fuel before it causes an accident, his reply was, "whatever, it's not my fault!" and then he ******ed off without as much as a cheers mate.

No surprise there then, what a divi. Bet you felt like giving him a couple of smacks. You should have taken note of his reg and informed the police/local council and hopefully they would at least have given himsome hassle and shown him the error of his ways.

I know I couldn't believe it, he had a car seat in the back too. If my kids grew up with the same attitude as him I'd be gutted... I can't abide bad manners. It doesn't cost a thing and means a lot.
I didn't get the reg, but it was still left where it was when I dropped my wife at work at 10 last night. Hopefully he'll get a ticket because it's in a disabled space.

Presumably you then phoned the local police with details
However I can't see there being any interest, even though a crime may have been committed (public endangerment)
Equally if (and it's a big if) the Police did attend, they would have reported the spillage to the Fire Service and local authority

I witnessed a similar issue with a grass cutter, the fuel tank split
The Police attended, but as soon the Fire service appeared they were off

Probably nicked or no tax/insurance etc... Surely a normal person would be quite worried about their car.
