    Default Alloy Wheel Jargon

Now, I like to think of myself as a reasonably well informed chap, but was looking at some alloys for the chariot and started feeling very stupid indeed...

Would someone please enlighten me to the mysteries of offset, 'J' values, and all the other strange numbers that they use to describe them?

    Thank you kindly

offset is the distance from the back of the hub part of the wheel to the centre line.
j value is the width of the wheel.
    pcd is the stud measurement.

    Thanks carl.

Are there any limits within these parameters for the vec when choosing alloys, or will they just look different?

For your offset on the vec I would look for a 35, it sits a bit further out so looks better IMO,

    Offset (plus other wheel tech)

Offset calculator (just seen where Carl may have got his diagram! )

They should give more info and the calculator lets you see the effect of altering the width and offset of wheel from what you have now.
