    Default Clutch

Hi all, quick question - roughly how much is it for a new clutch (fitted at a garage) on a 2.0DTI?
I'm at a loose end, cars doing my head in, needs 2 front tyres, servicing, engine light keeps coming on, engine is jumping all the time and puffing out smoke, front brakes need doing, boot won't open, and now clutch is going - thinking about just selling it really cheap as quick as I can and getting a banger, I need to get to York and back sunday, then bristol and nottingham next weekend, so not got the time to ebay it or anything, just dont know what to do, advice anyone?

Blimey, next question: anyone want a Signum - open to offers lol
Can't afford 600 atm, think its going to be time to get rid then, shall see what we buy any car can do for me. Its a shame as Im probably going to end up with an old scenic or something, will deffinately miss the signum and its luxeries but just cannot afford to get it all fixed up

I'll give you an orange club bar for it? Lol

Seriously tho. eBay is always an option.

List as spares or repairs an be honest with what's wrong and prob get half decent money for it.

We buy any car wouldn't even be an option. They offer crap money at the best of times

Its a 2004 elite, if I had more time I would ebay it, but my only option is to get the car fixed or get a new car by next week, as its my only car and I need it to get to bristol and nottingham next week. Ive just been out in the car to test the clutch (it was my partner who came back and told me she broke it, she lost power on a steep hill and it got stuck in neutral). Ive just gone up another very steep hill and done an aggressive hill start and didnt feel any slipping, but when I got to the top the power was gone and the engine light was back on, then when I drove back it felt like I had half the power, its done this before when the fuel is very low, which it currently is. So the slipping earlier could have been to do with its weird engine problem that its had since I got it (possibly vacuum air hose or fuel rail so Ive been told) But then I cant work out how she got it stuck in neutral :s

check air flow meter quite common fault along with egr valves. afm easy to change, egr valve bit fiddly but still quick and easy to change just watch for the little gasket as mine fell into car and was a pain in the backside to find.
