Thumbs up Full Hunter alignment - One very happy member and one not so happy

Today GSi-Col and I went along to Pro Grip in Larbert to get our cars aligned on their Hunter equipement.

Mine went very well and after the guy checked all of the suspension components (which I had done anyway) he proceeded to take initial readings.

I changed the track rods and rod ends before going for the alignment and was only about 1 degree out with them. My only other serious one was the O/S/R camber and toe but it was easily adjusted and I came out having only spent 57 quid (the guy initally said 69 but the ar was so hassle free he did it for 57 )

Not bad for a 6 year old car with 73k and -30mm eibachs

Col wasn't so lucky and a preliminary check of the car revealed that his needed a NS UCA, 2 track rod ends and two wishbone balljoints.

However the owner (John) didn't charge anything for his time which is pretty decent of him.

Gotta really recommend them and I think i'll be going back once a year to keep mine tip top

Here's another vote for John at Pro-Grip. I had a Hunter alignment check a couple of years ago when he was at Bonnybridge, really nice and knowledgeable guy.

I've used them once, never again
They use generic settings (as they never renewed their Hunters licence)
Not suitable for the V6 CDTI

What else would they use apart from generic settings?

Custom settings just for your car maybe?

They set mine up as sports suspension model as that's what it is

What evidence do you have that they have no licence and can't do a v6cdti?

Think you bought the wrong car then, yours seems to be compatible with nothing and too different.

Will change the Rear Upper Control arms the get over to them. Does your car fell better John? Good of him not to charge for Col's car, cant argue with that.
