Boot wont open

Hello guys. The boot on my Siggy wont open. yesterday when i pressed fob it popped, but when i press the handle under boot lid it wont do anything, wont open passed the "pop". i can push it shut and then pop it again and thats it.... it did whurr at first now not at all...
is there a manual release anywhere, or somehere to put a key? i cant bleeding find one - lol

Look on the trim on the inside of the bootlid, should be a small slot to put a screwdriver in - that's the manual override I believe. The fault is caused by a small ball bearing in the exterior handle getting gummed up and failing to trigger the microswitch. Either replace the handle mechanism (there's a revised part available from Vx that does away with the ball bearing), or remove the old one and clean the mechanism.

Cheers Rebellion. All i could see was a gromet in the bottom centre of the trim, that when u pop it off there seems to be a square socket. Is this what your referring to? if so i do i try and twist it, or is there something else i should be looking for?

Give it a quick bash on the outside with the side of your fist. it should then open the little switch is getting stuck. Ive had to clean mine up on two occasions since Ive owned the car. They get all gunge up with the winter damp weather.

Your key or a screw driver will fit into the slot. give it a twist and this will open it from the inside.

On my signum i had to peel the rubber that opens the boot WD40 the mech and cut the rubber to get it back. When it whirrs i give it a spray of WD40 - been fine since
