Lacquer has cracked on my alloys

Any idea why the lacquer has cracked on my alloys that I had refurbished last year?

They were on the car for about 3 months then came off the road for the winter.

When I took them off there was a couple of what looked like scratches but they (And more) have turned into cracks.

The wheels were stored inside the house so not subject to adverse conditions (Not that that should matter as they would have done if they were on the car).

Using wrong type of Lacquer probably cellulose

Mite be the lacquer was put on when the base coat was not dry. only way to sort it is rub down and repaint.

Will be taking them back at some point and see what they say.

I have a mate and same happened to his he got his refurbed at city powder coaters in Birmingham they said they had a bad batch of lacquer.
