    Default England's Wonderful Second Innings

Anyone care to join me in my state of depression over the most recent ashes defeat. Only we could drag defeat from the jaws of victory (all right, a draw then) with such grace, style and panache.

No wonder the Aussies laugh at us............

    Is it beer o'clock yet?

I turned on just as the collapse started turned off after an hour fearing the worst. They did not let me down Another wonderful display of the ar$e falling out of a decent start.
Lets hope they show some spirit and can turn it around. I'm not holding my breath though.............

I watched the last thirty or so overs on the TV last night. Flintoff looked a very dejected man... he was doing OK but I think his team let him down (eg. Pietersen giving away four unnecessary overthrows). By contrast, I've never seen such a big grin on Ponting's face.

Sorry, but I won't be joining in the depression

As stevedee mentioned, the look on Flintoffs face left nobody in any doubt how he was feeling. For me that look showed us all he had just realised he had already lost the Ashes.

Great game though, realy enjoyed the English first innings & ofcourse Collingwoods (born & bred Aussie) double ton.

To say it is the national side, the team is a joke. Looked more like a Sunday Pub team than the best the country can muster.
