Default Trouble with CDTI 120 (DPF Model)

    Hi I have a 2006 Vectra CDTI 120bhp.

If I gradually increase my speed to arround 2 to 2500 revs I get a severe misfire.

    I have done the following

    Replaced MAP Sensor
    Boost Solonoid Hoses
    Cleaned TB
    Replace EGR

I currently have the whole front off car and i am checking for leaks. I have found an oil leak from the turbo which I have resolved. I have also looked at the intercooler cant see any obvious signs of a split but looks knackered.
I have found a couple of splits in boost hoses but only on the inner liner ? dont know if these would cause a problem.

I got a mate to some live data feeds to look at.

Would anyone be willing to look over these ?

    Thanks In Advance

    Jon B

If you've replaced the EGR, you might need an ECU software update as the newer EGR's operate slightly differently (or something along those lines)

There is a field remedy for this:-

    Field Remedy: 2149
Subject: Engine Z19DT/Z19DTL - Jerking in certain rpm range
    Models: Engines: Option:
    Astra-H ...2006,Zafira-B ...2006,Vectra-C 2004...2006 Z19DT| Z19DTL,Z19DT| Z19DTL,Z19DT| Z19DTL only C9 system and 2 valve engines
Complaint: Customer complaint about engine jerking between 1500-2500 rpm, mostly with 2nd or 3rd gear engaged.
Cause: Problem is related to a EGR software deviation.
    Production:

    Remedy:
In case of customer complaint reprogram ECU with an improved software.
The new software will be available as of CW30/2008 via TIS2WEB
(version 8.0) (Only vehicles with MY 2006).
Modified software for Vectra/Signum, MT, with and without DPF,
    as of MY 2004:
    Available as of 27-Jul-2009!
    FunctionalGroup: J - Engine
Complaint Group: 19 - Poor Engine Driveability
    Trouble Code: None
You could try unplugging the EGR and see if the judder goes away?

If so then its likely to be a problem with the new EGR and you may need the software update. AFAIK only VX dealers can check for and do the update.

If not then it could be a dirty boost sensor (MAP), maybe the throttle valve needs cleaning or it has dodgy soldering/dry joints (there is a how2 on fixing this). Its also possible its the injector wiring, but I thought that would create bad hesitations and even engine shut downs.

    Hope that helps, good luck

Sorry for the slight hijack, you mention an oil leak on the turbo, do you have any more detail, I've got the same thing but its virtually impossible to see exactly where it is coming from.

Okay found a few spilt hoses and a holed intercooler so replaced all that and also the air con pump as was noisy. Took for drive absolutely no turbo looked under bonnet nothing evident then noticed a black smoke mark on engine plastic cover. Looked on map sensor an back had blown off. Tool this out and was knackered only two weeks old but was a replica. Put Bosch one on today and drives fine but missfire. Unplugged new egr Nd runs perfect and ideas what needs to be done to egr ? Possible software update or semi blank kit ?
