    Default Vectra 2.8T V6 (250) front brakes?

    Hi guys,

I am the new owner of a 2007 Vectra 2.8T V6 (Z28NET Version). Its got the SRI trim all round with twin exhausts.

I was wondering what size brakes its got already without having a look myself (Car is in for service at the moment).

I am about to get new tyres all round on my 17" wheels and am not in the position to get 18's just yet so I can't fit VXR brakes in.

So until I do upgrade the wheels and get VXR brakes, what have I most likely got already (I will look when I can) so I can get some new discs and pads.

    Cheers

    Tom

Dependant on what 17" wheels you have fitted you may still be able to fit the 345's under them. The police spec 2.8's have the VXR 345's fitted and they only run 17" alloys mate.

I will have to take some proper pics so you guys can help me out.

My main question is what brakes do I have already? Not what ones can I fit.

In that case I may as well just paint the calipers, get some good discs and pads then call it a day on the brakes? I mean if they are the 314's then they are pretty good right?

I always thought that. But ask paul667 how worried I was when he slowed down in front of me.

Personally I think they will be fine with better disks/pads which is what im planning on getting.

314's are fine even on a mapped 2.8T tbh. I would just get GM pads and discs from your local dealer they are about £60 + VAT each axle with trade discount and do the job just fine. Nice looking Vec you have by the way. :-)

What about grooved discs and police spec pads?
