Default Boating on the Norfolk Broads

We've just returned from a short break in Norfolk - hired a river cruiser for a few nights and toured the northern part of the broads.

I have to say - its been a great experience and I thoroughly recommend it, especially if you have kids as our little 'un really enjoyed the experience.

The weather was carp but thats to be expected but theres usually a nice warm pub nearby!

We started in Stalham and worked down from there - lovely area to live in. I would love to be living in one of the houses in Horning right next to the river!

Bonus was my Vec averaged 39mpg on the 500 mile round trip!

its something i have considered, along with a narrow boat on the canal somewhere but everytime i look into it it seems you could fly abroad for 2 weeks for the same money!

    glad you enjoyed it tho

It was a lot cheaper going for 4 nights in Easter! Once you get into August and pick a bigger boat it does get expensive.

Worth a go though just for the experience!

I would love to do the narrow boat thing at some point. Life in the slow lane really appeals.

Glad you enjoyed your trip! I live less than 10 minutes from Stalham towards the coast, been on the broads many times over the years and always had a nice time.
