    Default Fog lamp replacment

intermittently had the warning light saying my left fog is out on a 56 plate vectra estate. It comes and goes with the weather and by the look of it there is some condensation in it. The handbook gives instructions for other bulb replacement but says the fog is a dealer job! How difficult is it? Is it just a bulb or is it a sealed unit?

    Thanks

    Presumably front fog?

Get down on floor. Look up under front bumper and you'll see a screw on cap at the base of the fog light. Park one wheel up on a kerb to give better access if nesessary.
Twist cap in direction that arrow shows to undo. Unclip bulb and disconnect wire (pull spade connector out of socket). Refit is the reverse of pulling apart.
You can get a snorkel kit to solve the condensation problem, but one of those moisture absorbing bags you find in shoe boxes, some electrical goods boxes, etc work just as well if you lay it in the base of the cap before refitting.

    Default

    yes, front

thanks for that. wonder why they make it look like its difficult. What's a snorkel kit? Never heard of it although I have some silica bags knocking around so probably won't get one.
