Default Tyres Splitting and odd sizes

My front passenger side tyre has started to split. I know it's a budget tyre as it was fitted to the car before I bought it. The tyre tred is still very good. Should I replace asap? Also I have just put tyre pressure in all the tyres and that same tyre was down to 27psi. Also what tyres pressures you lot putting in your 19" wheels? I am putting in 39psi in the fronts and 35psi in the rear as the user manual says. I have just been outside and noticed the front passenger side tyre is 245/35 ZR19 93WXL and the front drives side is 235/35 ZR19 91Y. That can't be legal?

Tyres need to be the same on each axle IE same on front or same on rear.

I run 39 all round on mine.

Whats the date code on the tyre?

How do I find the date code? I am running Avon tyres on the rear and I am thinking about getting the same for the fronts. I just can't believe they have different sizes on the front. I have never noticed that before till now. Thanks

Change Asap not legal. They cuts/splits look dodgy as well. What make is the one in your pic?

Its a Primewell budget tyre, it came on the car when I bought it. I will replace it asap as I don't trust it. Thats the one thats the odd tyre out from the rest in size.

You have confirmed the outside edge of the tyre has cracks, what about the inside edge?
If this too has similar cracks, then it has been caused by underinflation (see below)

Ideally, the tyre would be removed and fully examined
This is to determine whether the cracks are solely on the external rubber or if they have penetrated right through to the carcass

What exactly makes this tyre illegal?

If it is solely the cracks, then that is not the case as they need to be certain dimensions and these are no where near that yet
For MoT this would simply receive an advisory

For mixing tyre profiles, this is also acceptable but NOT recommended
As above, this would be a MoT failure, but it is NOT illegal

Sounds to me like the previous owner has been cutting costs and fitting part-worn tyres
The cracks could also be age related and checking the date code will then certainly help

Personally, as they are on the front just wear them out and then choose one specific tyre size and specification (probably what is currently on the rear)

Not the tyre itself but being different size on the same axle
