    Default Fuel gauge fault???

    Hi
Does anyone now where the connections are for the fuel gauge?
i put £35 pound in today and the light stayed on and the gauge didnt go up until
about 10 mins later, this isnt the first time this has happened.

yes mate iv experienced that try taking number 17 fuse in the fuse box on the side of dash and give it a little clean and pop it back in and go from there.

The conections for most cars are usually on top of the tank. Can be a pain to get to. Some older cars used to have a cover in the boot, which you removed to access theelectric connections and the float valve in the tank. Not entirely sure about the Vectra though, usuall a good spray with wd or similar was enough to sort the problem.

Lift up/out the rear seat base and you will see a circle cut out in the carpet.

    Its under that.

    This is quite normal
Typically happens once every 100 fills
We get complaints from people as well, "Just filled up and my fuel tank gauge reading hasn't moved"
