Default Will it fit and work? Rear air vents

At present I have a cubby hole for the rear passengers but I want to replace that with air vents.

My vec is an Sri 06 facelift. I have the centre console from a 04 preface with vents.

Is a straight swap or are more parts involved.

Do I have to remove the front seats to gain access for removal.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Nope it wont work. The air handling unit behind the dash board is different. I tried. I removed the whole middle console, added the centre piping and checked but to no avail. Its a dashboard out job to swap the air handling unit for one that supplies air to teh rear vents apparently. I just swapped my air vents back to a cubby hole a couple of months back as it was a more useful feature.

Edit. Sorry im re-reading your post again, and if its just that you want to swap the cubby for the vents, then yes its just a straight swap. Rear Aux socket cover/ash tray out and there are 4 torx bolts holding the arm rest/cubby in.

Thanks very much for that. It's a big help. I did want them to work in the rear but fro
What you have said its a no go.

Ah well but best to know not to attempt the swap then find its a huge hassle to get it to work.

    Cheers
