If you come anywhere near Portsmouth give me a shout.
What you mean flashing are they aftermarket ones as I fitted hids and did not need tech 2
he may want his xenons activating as this changes the way the power is delivered to the lights so to speak normally its pulsed but i think its different when the xenons are activated but he could put some cancellors on them too and it can be done via opcom as well as tech2 hth
gaz
pm plasma ..he is often down swanley way now
I'm guessing that could be because they are NOT "canbus friendly" as I made the same mistake and bought some slimline hids (not thinking) for my fogs and they flicker all the time unless they are switched on
However now that HIDS-DIRECT have revamped their website I am not sure which ones to buy to replace them (Previous being 50W H7 6k) specifically for Vauxhall (canbus friendly)
If that is indeed the case and they are "Non-canbus friendly" then I believe even a Tech2 session won't able to sort it (not 100% sure though)
Hopefully someone can confirm this,
Damo
U'll need something to go with the kit, think someone mentioned this, something like a resister, "fools the ecu that it's fine" I think, surely someone will help u out, I don't think the computer can help or remap the ecu might do the job, not entirely sure tho. Am looking into new headlights set the hid type.
The resistor is volt control, I've set my lights and fooled the ecu thinking its xenon. As its slightly higher output than resistor is set for standard lights.
From what I understand, all the resister does (cancellor) is eliminate the "Bulb Failure" message that flashes up on the Radio display. Again can't quite remember.
I did install the cancellors (resistor thingy) on my fogs but they still flicker when they are switched off.
Dipped lights are fine no flickering what so ever (Canbus friendly HIDs+cancellors)
Ahh, found it, canbus ballast. U need that to work with canbus type system or a bypass. Look it up :-)
