Default Turbo on the way out..?

    signum 2.0dti. 136K

Have what I consider to be excess oil in the pipes (enough to coat my finger and drip off), this was from the exit hose (right hand side) from the intercooler. I have taken these hoses off many time and this is by far the most oil I have found. BUT I have no real play in the turbo shaft..?, just minimal movement, fraction of a mm in all directions,

My car is not a daily driver and only gets used at weekends, it has however not been used/run since 20/03 (mot expired), and I found the excess oil on the 01/04.

The inlet manifold is pretty dirty with wet oily/carbon everywhere, but I have had no smoke out of the back (black, blue or white), BUT I have been down on power,

Question, have I by chance managed to catch oil seal failure in the early stages...?

Not familiar with the 2.0dti, but if you have oil between in the hose between the intercooler and the inlet manifold then it's either coming from dodgy turbo seals as you suggest, or from a breather from the cam cover. I would check the hose going into the turbo first - if this is oil-free, likely from the turbo - if not, maybe oil is being returned through the breather into the turbo inlet hose (if it has one, sorry, not sure on this engine!).
