    Default Detailing Help!

    Hi Everyone,

I think I need some help restoring my oxidised Flame Red Vec. It is heavily swirled, I have tried polishing it but to no avail, the damn swirl are still there. The car will be re-painted early next year but needs a spruce up before PVS. Are there any detailing meets in this region where I can get some help?

    Thanks.

    Wow!

    Some nice transformation pics there!

The car is being re-painted next year clear over base to freshen the car up, it has multiple marks and stone chips all over it.

There is also a 5p sized area section of surface rust at the bottom of the passenger door.

I'm now attempting to attach pics of my car to this thread from my phone. Bear with me, can't attach the damn pics!

You tried polishing by hand or machine? Whereabouts are you in Oxford?

the red will fade again , as vx like a few other makes at the time did not put any clear coat on the red . id give a go with just a paint restorer and you will be amazed at how good it will look . then seal it in with a wax/glaze /sealant . and will still look good but you have to keep on top off it . khalid

the vectra has gone , but not far away so ill still see it form time to time
