Default Inlet Changed - Pics of old Inlet Split to see the crap!!!!

    Pic heavy!

Had my inlet done, and cambelt. Car runs so much better now with the new inlet, Smoother better MPG, and in general just feels great! Think i need to doa long run for the car to get used to having it though.

Here are some dirty pictures for all those that are considering it! My swirl bar had come off but flaps still worked flapping around!

Dirty pictures here, No under 16s!!!!! haha

Excuse the ****e quality! Took from my phone.

Just for the info, There was in most are's around 1mm of ****! building upto around the 3mm area, Around the edges there was upto 5mm in places! You can see on the inlet manifold where i scraped it away into a pile, Tomorrow i will wire brush this out and gather up all the crap to show how much actually is there!

Thats a LOT of poop in the inlet manifold!!!!!!!

    Glad mines all done now.

There was no gasket there inbetween them, I can get some higher quality pictures for people if they wish, and upload these.

It would not be possibly to split on the car, as the fuel pump would still get in the way, along with other things.

Cost wise, I had my warrenty cover parts.

    List of parts provided:

    Inlet Manifold
    Actuator + New arm
Fuel pipe that comes over top (dont know why)
    Gaskets for everything
    New Boost sensor
    Several other parts

Fitting was at my local garage, at a cost of £180.00 + Vat fully fitted. I had the cambelt and water pump done at the same time for a huge cost of ......... £120.00 + VAT fitted!

A few other things to add, My car did not have full VX Service history when purchased, I have now had the EGR Disabled. I have cleaned the EGR twice. It has done 72000 miles, Swirl bar was off completly, and gunk was forming around the valves.

any high pressure fuel lines undone/removed must be replaced as per TIS instructions, they are a use once only affair... 2nd'ly how did you get the EGR disabled, just a semi-blankinh plate or remap?

its due to the high pressure of the fuel as you know and they say to change them otherwise they could start leaking because of bad refitting. (ie may squash up slightly when installed/deform etc etc) so new ones required, many ppl have refitted without a problem, same as caliper carrier bolts they same change them everytime but most people dont.
