Default Good service at Kwick Fit Sunderland

No this isnt a joke and I do not work for them.

Noticed I had a blow on the front flexi pipe and going away tomorrow, so phoned Kwick Fit, yep they can do it, bring it down they will have the part by the time I get there.

Thought might as well have Air Con regassed as well. So got the car on the ramp, front flexi looks quite new, but blowing from the Lambda sensor, they just brazed up the sensor holder.

Air con, no gas recovered, no leaks, full refill £49. Nice and cold now. Did not charge for welding and blow sorted.

I know people have variuous experiences at Kwick Fit, but they have always been good to me.

Must admit I only ever use them for re-gassing the aircon and can't fault them. Must have had 4 cars re-gassed by them.

Its nothing to do with the company, its all about the managers and the people that work for them. Bad apples in every line of work give the majority a bad name.

This, I was talking to a Kwik fit employee last time I used Kwik fit, he commented that his manager expects everything done by the book or he would issue p45s without thinking about it. He allowed me to stand and watch everything he did and actually talked me through what he was doing.
He commented of a another branch he knows of where the management didn't give a ****, and he wouldn't want his worst enemy's car undergoing work in that branch the standards are so.low!

I think they do get some bad press but there are good branches and bad branches of all the major tyre/exhaust centres. When i lived in Accrington I found the local Kwick Fit to be very good, I took an Escort into them because it was sudernly loosing power when accelerating hard or at motorway speeds, they diagnosed the Cat as the problem, I was a little dubious as Kwick Fit had a reputation for looking for the most expensive work, however they were spot on, the iners of the cat had broken up and were causing an obstruction durring certain conditions. I also took my Almera Tino into them because there was a vibration and rattle that seemed to be coming from the exhaust, the fitter took it up on the ramp and found a rusty ring of loose metal that was part of the flexi pipe, however as it was sound and not blowing he just removed the ofending bit of metal, jobs a good un, no charge, wouldn't even accept some money for a pint, have to say that the car went another 2 years and 2 MOTs needing no work on the exhaust.
