    Default Rear caliper slides.

Just done rear pads on Vectra 08 plate worn at 21k anyway the caliper allen key bolts that should slide in the caliper are very tight had to knock them out.

In the past the 20 yrs of doing cars i never had a set this tight are yours the same or have i got a duffer?

O/s/r was the worst one i filled out the slides and lubed them up they do slide now but not as easy as they do on a ford.

Good deal on pads at vauxhall got a taxi discount for cash, nice one.

You need to remove the slide rubbers and remove the corrosion from the calipers inside with sand paper or a file, then grease them up and they will slide freely.

I used a small flat screwdriver to push, prise, them out. I cleaned mine out 18 months ago and had to redo them a couple of weekends ago. I put a thin coating of copper grease inside the holes this time to help prevent further corrosion.

Just done this while the wheels were off for the new tyres, loads of corrosion and filed them out clean with a smear of copperslip put the seals back in.

Nice and free now was grabbing the disc slightly.

Thanks for the photo above you made it simple.
