Rear ashtray

Hi all does anyone else have problems with their rear ashtray? Mine keeps falling out and its driving me mad!!

Yes,removed mine about 7 yrs ago, after the kids kept kicking it out.

Got fed up with putting it back on, so left it off.

not me,.. it's missing!!
along with a door mirror glass, aerial and centre cup holder... all in a 58 plate low mileage car!!...

Just the ash tray to replace now

can you not bend the spring clip?... they always seem the be open

There should be a small plastic catch mechanism on like on a ball point pen - but after a couple of kicks, it tends to snap off and go missing. The spring clip on the top is not designed to hold it shut, only to limit it's fully open position.

I took advantage of mine being open all the time and put an air freshener in it

That cigarette lighter plug is a good idea hope it works for the lads Ds.

Bigtee. It is a power socket not a lighter. Try this for the lads DS

Ha, mines jammed shut and cannot open it, no one smokes in my car so it can stay that way
