    Default Gutted - Alignment

Well I thought I was doing the right thing getting my alignment done before the Easter break as I've got a fair bit of long journeys to do. Took it to a place in Droitwich with a Hunter system this morning first thing. All was going well, the fronts where fine apart from the steering wheel wasn't pointing straight and the back camber was miles out and needed adjusting, this made me happy knowing something was out and could be adjusted. What didn't make me happy is seeing my rear cam adjuster bolt snap and fly across the floor. Gutted.....

Slight problem getting hold of the cam adjuster bolt (not until Tuesday) and the lower arm bush was knackered and needed a new arm. First lower arm to arrive was the wrong one, so they are trying to get another one. I've asked if they can put in just another bolt instead of the cam adjuster bolt so at least I can use the car over Easter.

Now I wish I waited until next week to do the alignment.....

Seems to be a common issue with the adjuster bolts. :/

I think its going to be good advice to anyone going to have their alignment done to pick up a couple of camber adjustment eccentric discs and bolts before they go, just in case....

I wasn't there when the wrong arm was delivered, but when i got there they said it was wrong and needed a different one, maybe it was for a later vectra, not sure.

Got some more info about the eccentric cam/bolt. There are two lengths for number (20) in the PDF I posted, 85mm and 100mm, parts numbers 24422972(85mm) & 24422973(100mm). They come with number (21) so you don't have to order them individually.

My local dealer cant get them until Wednesday.
