Hi all changed front drop links today, how 2 was bang on, apart from the blow torch, angle grinder and the metal chisel i needed on the offside as the top bolt wouldnt budge, even with a 17 hammered on. all done now though.

I bet that's the most fun anyone has ever had removing a drop link!
nearside was tough as well, but managed it without the need for the heavy tools.
hi nokiaman1978
i havent seen you on here for a while
did you change them because everytime to went over a speed bump you heard a grinding noise ?
Lol, everything seems OK now, seems a lot better, will keep an eye on things, last mot in September said my droplinks were closed to a fail, so replaced them first. Should the droplinks have a clip on the rubber like the old ones, luck in bought the angle grinder the day before, best 23 pound i've spent, paid for its self already.
Did you use Plusgas on the bolts before undoing?...I did and i'm sure it helped.
I did mine today too.. Replaced with the uprated Saab ones and fitted powerflex anit roll bar bushed at the same time.
I've still got steering knocking but its so much better to drive now.
I used a breaker bar for mine... Undid them fairly easily but they were far tighter than I expected
used braker bar, wd40, blow torch, then angle grinder, hi ste site seems stable now, was fed up with the constant down time and missing posts but all seems good now. It's good to be back
