    Default TS-Q172C speakers

i keep hearing good things about these and they are easy fit but i wondered how the tweeters fit

i have decided anything that is done to or in the car has to feel or look like it could have been standard equiment so dont really want tweeters sticking out on the dash etc.

do the tweeters for these go straight in the standard locations?

    thanks

If you need a hand fitting them and fancy a road trip, let me know and I'll happily do them for you. Done loads of these for people now, nice easy job.

cheers, i am saving that favour for if i ever find the stuff for the rear window conversion lol.

i have installed all sorts in my old vectra b so this shouldnt present any issues.

assuming this weather improves a bit i shall be fitting the 3300bt and all its many leads this weekend

then speakers will happen either when i can afford them or when i decide its been long enough and i need them lol.

part of me also wants to see how well the standard speakrs cope with the new head unit

The standard speakers are a lot better than most people give them credit for. The weak point in the Vectra's sound system is the standard head units. You'll be amazed how much better it sounds just by fitting a decent aftermarket head unit but a speaker upgrade once that's done will also improve it again as long as you keep the power ratings of the head unit and speakers within reasonable range of each other. Don't install 200w speakers when the head unit only puts out 4 x 40w max for example as that will actually sound worse because there's not enough power to move the speaker cones properly etc etc
