    Default Ive got one!

    Hi guys,

    So I was looking for a 2.8T signum but was finding it hard to find one with the milage I was looking at in my budget.

    I have however bought something and I LOVE IT!!!

    Its a Navy blue 2007 Vectra 2.8T V6 Elite with the SRI trim.

    Couple of very minor things I need to do, tighten passenger door handle, very small split on the front SRI bumper.

    Apart from that its excellent! And its quick.... Man its quick :-D

    So then, next on my list after those minor fixes is the performance modifications!

    Remap, VXR280 Airbox Mod, Iridium Spark plugs and K&N panel filter.

    Follwed by Bigger brakes (with red calipers), a set of eibach springs & shocks and Decat pipe.

    Oh... And then perhaps a VXR badge, grille and some VXR styling inside.

    Oh forgot to mention.

    What mapping company do people suggest. I like the simplicity of the bluefin but its quite expensive for a do it yourself non-custom map.

    ...and do Iridium Spark plugs make much difference in performance or is it a longevity thing???

    I beleive they spark hotter. But I know the VXR has them so there must be some reason :-/

    Just looking through the vehicle documents. My engine is the ZN28NET, does this mean I already have irridium plugs? I beleive its the older Z28NEL that doesnt right?

    Z28 NET means you have the 250 BHP model. The NEL is the 230 BHP model. I doubt very much you'd have the Iridium plugs fitted all ready mate. As I think they were only fitted as standard on the later model VXR's.

    I'll buy some irridium plugs soon. I just ordered a K & N panel filter.

    Whichever remap company you go with try and keep the torque around the 400 Lb/ft mark at peak.

    It will easily go more, but then you will be putting a lot of strain on the clutch and will kill it before long with heavy use.

    Keep away from small tuning companies as this engine doesnt like being messed with.

    Main tuners to consider are Courtenay Sport, Regal, Thorney, Mid Point Garages.

    Would go anywhere else in my opinion.
