confused Blower on Full, won't switch off

Can anybody give me any pointers? I have a 3.0ltr Td V6 2003 (53 plate) Signum. The Internal blowers are stuck on full, and don't turn off even with the ignition off. I think its down to 1 of three possibilities. 1, the blower resister.
2, A relay ( if there is one ) or 3. the console itself.

The last one ( no 3 ) is most unlikely because the heating is still adjustable.

Any one with ideas or past experience would be most helpful

    Cheers

Sounds like its shorting out as well as the resister,?did you check the pollen filter drain could be blocked with debris causing water to find its way in to the electricals.

    The control module has failed
Although you can still control the temperature, the circuit for the power setting has blown

Typical when any such module fails, you may only lose one part of it, the rest still works

will try out McDads first before going down expensive route. Still doesnt explain why blower on full, as module does go out when ignition goes off but blower still on !!, but thanks
