    Default CDTI water pump?

Ive got the car in for it's timing belt & tensioner next week & I've also asked for the water pump to be done at the same time. The garage has said they'll order the pump and if it's not needed wont fit it. Should I insist on having it done regardless? The cars done 55k and I only intend keeping it for another 18 months max.

Cheers guys, It's only £50 more for the pump and the garage is opening on bank holiday monday to do the work for me so the least I can do is let him do it! lol.

As said make sure they do it as thats what normally fails and breaks the belts/makes the belt jump.

Insist its done, But how will you really know if its done, If they think it looks ok they might not bother & still charge you.

Insist it is done & ask to see the old one... in most cases it's the failure of the pump which causes the belt to let go
