    Default Rear suspension woes AGAIN!

    It's happened again....

Had a rather loud creaking coming from the rear of my car, loud enough for pedestrians to turn round to see what the noise was.

So on investigating what was the cause on Friday I should have known what the issue was.

    Can you guess the problem?

I originally bought a replacement pair in July 2011 from eBay, after a grand total of 4 months, the bushes were perished/split and the seller on eBay honoured the Life time warranty on them and replaced them FOC and at the end of November 2011 I fitted a nice shiny new pair!

Well 4 months down the line again, i've now contacted the seller again and under the Lifetime warranty asked for a full refund.

Powerflex order placed and I'll add the progress in fitting them on here.

i would like to note another thing that this forums brilliant for. A quick search on here for my posts around the middle of last year. I found a reply about the torque values on the How to, so knew what month I originally ordered them. Then could trace back all the details to inform the seller.
    Thank You Vectra-C.

I wish I had not seen this thread becuase it looks like another upgrade.

Are you saying there are now powerflex bushes for the banna arms? If so where from and how much am I going to be spending

Peter Griffin: Ah, c'mon, Lois, isn't 'bribe' just another word for 'love'?

Yes mate. Powerflex now do all Vectra/Signum suspension bushes.

www.powerflexshop.co.uk seem to be the cheapest. I've rang them and checked their prices listed are per CAR not per bush.

As for cost...alot! £140 just for the 4 bushes.

I'v got some rear upper arm bushes and the outer ones don't fit my arms! so still got to buy another set of arms with a bigger bush on the end to put the powerflex ones in ! I'm not 100% but I think they have been changed at soon time and not the right ones or of another model but they are gm ones !!

Any chance you can measure the diameter of the Stainless Sleeve for the outer bush?
I'll see if they'll fit into the Rear Upper Arms I have here (with the bushes striped out)

I've just checked my "spare" arms that are getting the Powerflex bushes fitted, and from the measurements above, they WILL fit.

I was going to throw my existing pair (still on the car creeking like ****) when i've got the replacements bushed and fitted. You're more than welcome to have them (for Postage cost).

Might be worth contacting Powerflex directly too. Looks like they made them to fit non GM arms.
