Eek Late April fools from the AA

Just got my renewal from the AA for my 1.9 CDTI 8v Estate:

    £497

    Now thats mad.......

Did the usual online compare thingys then:

Called Chris Knott - got it to £322 with £150 excess

Called Hastings Direct - got it to £300 with £95 excess

I really liked what the guy at Chris Knott was saying about their customer service, Hastings Direct were not so impressive - do I spend the extra bit and go with CK????

    Any thoughts chaps?

Ring back CK and ask if they will match it.

Then ask for the club discount

i agree, i tend to go with the cheapest quote from a known brand.

not like you have to call them weekly or anything, in fact hopefully after the quote you never have to speak to them!

Hmm interesting, now we scratch the surface a little deeper!

By paying monthly both companies add charges - but at different rates!

    CK - paid monthly total = £349.50

    Hastings - as above = £362.22

    Direct Line - as above = £395.49

    Tesco - as above = £439.60

    AA - as above = £496.58

I'm only using hastings as the "rival" as they were cheapest on the comparison sites!
