Between the body of the EGR valve and the engine/manifold at the rear of the engine - you need to remove the EGR to get access to the one bolt that holds it in place and then pull it out. If your thinking of cleaning it be very careful as its quite delicate - use carb cleaner and a small soft tooth brush to clean it.
No need to remove the EGR to get at it (not on my 120 anyway).
You can use a torx bit and a pair of pliers there is just enough room, but slit easier if you undo the egr retaining bolts.
It doesn't need to be tight, the sensor is held in position by its O ring, the retaining screw only needs to be nipped up. So many things get over tightened these days causing many a headache.
Yea true - but if its not tight enough the vibrations of the engine will soon shake it loose - the O ring is a tight fit but that is intended to be a seal not to hold it in place. I suppose if you had the inclination you could find the correct torque setting for the bolt and tighten it to that setting.
Thanks peeps... where do you get the carb cleaner from?
