had my car remapped

yesterday at the east mids fix it/detail it meet i had asked a couple of guys mark and james to come over from http://www.promaptuning.co.uk/
to carry out a remap session for us, now i have had a good look around and these guys who are relitively new to the game offered what i wanted at a reasonable price and as they are members of a few forums i frequent i though it would be good for them to get a decent customer base set up within the car club circles

my car, a 120 cdti was at the last RR i attended running iirc 144bhp and 232ftlb with just a K&N filter, airbox mod and free flowing quad exhaust and drove fine but the operator said was crying for a remap but i decided to wait till it had a cam belt etc etc and i had done some searching out as to what was avv..

i decided to go with http://www.promaptuning.co.uk/ stage 2 map option of power and econonomy

now the car is just so different, it revs much more freely upto 5k, it pulls and pulls with no effort and the power delivery is constant with the turbo coming in at lower revs that before and the best part is the mpg has increased already after a nice trip out doing 100mile today it got a figure of 50.3mpg at a Cruise Control set 70mph where as before it was only getting around 44mpg with the 19's on for the same trip

so all i can say is, i am looking forward to attending the east mids RR event in a fortnight to see the actual figures i get this time around but overall i am a very very happy man and want to thank both mark and james again publicly for carrying out the work on my car....

Good job done eh mate take it they have removed the torque limiters in each gear aswell then and moved the limiter alittle

i dunno mate, it's all a bit beyond me tbh, i am sure the guys who carried it out will be able to confirm what they did for me, all i know is i love it

would just like to add that they also mapped my mates vivaro sportive van and he was also very happy with the outcome, he said it nows pulls like a train in 3rd where it was guttless originaly...

i didnt think the 120's had a limiter on rpm in 6th, the 150's do.

Got to ask, your getting 50.3 @ 70mph? Mines doing just under 60
