Default Arial Wiring and Arial Question

Has anyone changed the arial wiring on a Vectra? I removed on today but it was a pain at the a** at the side of the dash.
Are all the wires the same or would I need to change it?
Also, I had to cut the washer jet hose about 6 inches from the arial, how does this hose come off of the jet?

Thanks Nige, I'm going to give it a go next weekend too, it was a real pain to get it out from the side of the dash though, plus getting the add in connector out of the footwell plug was impossible.

    Whats that?

I will be stripping out a CDC40 + GID DAB system and installing a CD70 + CID. There are some wires on the cd70 aerial loom i have to fit that i do not know where to connect, i guess this could be the one your referring to.. Did you take any pics ?

The arial wire goes from the arial base over the doors on the drivers side, down the a-pillar and then in a channel between the a-pillar and the dash, these then go into the drivers footwell plug.
When I removed the arial wires earlier today I had to break the side of the footwell plug to get the arial connectors out.
I may just swap the bases and add a Fakra plugged GPS unit in the dash.
It would be nice to do it all as factory but I'm pretty sure the wiring loom is put in place before the dash etc.
You may be lucky and the extra wire may be there as you have had a CDC40 in previously (if it was factory fitted), with my luck mate it will be a single wire.

ok thanks.. Seems i may have to loosen off the dash to get this sucker in.. I really don't want to use a fakra after the cost of buying the correct wiring..

Hopefully somebody has done this and will chime in with the info on that part of the job before next weekend.
