Default 314mm brake upgrade one year on

Hiya peeps, well I think it's been over 12 month tbh, but I'm still not all that happy with the brakes. I bought a set of calipers of eBay taken from a newer car than mine and bought disks and pads from lmf. Maybe I was expecting a bit too much from this upgrade. I've had a few moments where a car has pulled out on me and I've had to brake hard and thought 'omg this ain't gonna stop' haha ok so I know it's a big heavy car but anyone have any suggestions. Do I look at upgrading the rears if so what are my options, just after some ideas thanks guys,

What brake pads and discs did you get? What brand? I'd bet a better brand of pads would make a huge difference.

Yeah that's why I went for them as loads on here said how pleased they was with the upgrade. Don't get me wrong they are better but as the old set up used to feel like they just gave up under heavy braking as if they just got too hot these are sometimes the same.

Stupid question and not meant to offend but have you cleaned all of the protective oil off of the discs before you fitted them?

When you fit 314's you should notice an immediate improvement.

I didn't fit them, a mechanic did it for me, he's a good mechanic so I'm guessing he did clean them.
