Default No power from 1.9 cdti 150

    Hello!

    Hoping someone can help here
I drive a 2004 1.9 cdti 150 and there is no power at all through the rev range.
When crawling around at 20/30mph you can hear the turbo spooling up but when u put your foot to the floor, its as if your pulling a trailer, the turbo just doesnt kick in.
Also when booting it, you get to maybe 65mph and then the EML light comes on and the car goes into limp home mode

Any suggestions appreciated bcos im not really mechanically minded.
Would an stuck open or closed EGR valve cause this prob?

    Cheers

Sounds like permanent limp mode to me.

Would be worth getting the codes read though, that wouldpretty much say what the issue was. Mine recently did it on swirl bar actuator. Could also be EGR as you say. Whip it off, clean it, check it if all looks good slap it back on and see if there is a change.

Check the usual, big boost pipe for splits, vac pipes for perished elbows or chafing damage, swirl bar, boost sensor and egr clean. Ideally get the codes read to find out what is putting the light on first.

that is exactly the same symptoms as mine the day i purchased it, there was absolutely no power and no getting pushed into your seat etc, i also kept on getting eml if i tried to boot it in say 4th gear to get some sort of speed up,
it turned out to be the vacuum/boost pipe, as a temporary fix i cut the pipe where it was split and used a length of hollow carbon fibre rod from a kite to rejoin

sounds like this tbh. Get the silicon ones off of ebay or order some from the dealer.
