    Default EG........Ahhhhhhhhhh!

Having read a couple of threads on here recently about EGRs and boost sensors, I gave mine a clean and fitted the partial blanking plate today!

Looked a little over due to be honest!

I have a 1.9CDTI 8v 120 bhp with 150,000 on it (2005 CAR) - the EGR itself looks as if it has been replaced at some point, not sure about the sensor though.

ITS A VERY EASY JOB TOO!

Theres a link for the gaskets in the 1st post, eBay of course lol!

Take the engine cover off and toot at the top right of the engine - its really obvious and accessible!

Yep, just slightly left of it and when the EGR is out of the way its just a single torx bolt and a tug to free it!

    No worries!

I have to admit i really dont get the idea of removing the soot blockage and replacing it with a metal one - but hey - its a nice shiney bit of metal!!
