    Default First time I've clayed...

Just bought some cheap clay to mess with... Just done half off bonnet and rinsed, already impressed!

Still some bits that it's not got, not sure if there too big or as its cheap clay... But still should look mint after a polish...

Just need to learn to wax properly next ha...

    Looking good!!

I did mine on Wednesday for the 1st time too, it's surprising how much comes of the paintwork onto to clay bar! I was also well impressed/surprised.

I've done the full front and wings. Not much seems to come off the sides, gonna do roof in a bit...

What do people use for the iron the clay doesn't get out?

Iron-X is THE **** when it comes to that! Not that expensive either.

Excuse my ignorance but what is the benefit of using clay over other products?
I normally wash, T-Cut, 2 coats of Mer Polish and then Simoniz Wax. Comes up looking pretty clean and shiny.
always happy to try out new ways.

Tcut is a cutting agent fella and a swear word amongst the detailers on here.
claying the car removes all the rubbish from your paint such as tar spots and all the old waxes and polishes from the paint.
